Project Description

Known as the “Billionaire Building”, One57 was the first of the new “super skyscrapers” to be built along the booming 57th Street Corridor. For a time, it was the tallest residential building in Manhattan, and AIC had its hands on every one of the 92 finely appointed floors with a variety of Ornamental Metal and Glazing Projects. The lower 20 floors of the building house a top end Hyatt Hotel, where AIC furnished and installed 20ft tall Stainless Steel Honeycomb Screens, 30ft high ballroom walls comprised of stainless steel and back-lit onyx, convector covers, and guestroom privacy screens. On the residential side of the building, AIC installed mirrored metal ceiling frames set with back-lit onyx, and several other architectural metal features, in finishes ranging from antique and polished bronzes to polished stainless steel. Finally, AIC installed 160 custom cladded elevator frames throughout the building.
