Project Description

The International Gem Tower, a commercial condominum for gem dealers, and the NY headquarters of the GIA, with
entrances on both 46 and the on famed 47th Street "Diamond District", allowed AIC to showcase several aspects of
our metal and glass specialties. Walking from the exterior, AIC installed three large stainless steel canopies, each
with back-lit lettering. Between the canopies was a custom engineered pyramidal and multi-faceted glass soffit, which
reflects the gemalogical spirit of the building. The entrances of the building are a two-story, stainless steel
curtainwall, with balanced and herculite style entrances, revolvers and custom display cases. On entering the
building, AIC provided all of the architectural metal and glass finishes, including floors, walls and ceilings of metal
and glass in one lobby, thirty foot long reception desks, stainless steel plate elevator jambs, back painted glass
feature walls, and several stories of glass partitions and doors at the buildings elevator lobbies.
