Project Description

AIC was contracted to provide the "Total Solution" to this challenging logistical project for The Durst Organization. Our responsibility was to remove the four chamfered corners of the building, comprised of stone panels and casement windows, and replace with a new unitized curtain wall system, with decorative fins. In order to accomplish the installation in the occupied building, AIC created a panel staging and lifting system, using a two-tiered scaffold to first safely demolish the existing wall and then set the new curtain wall panels. AIC managed all phases of the operation for the demolition, rigging erection and panel installation, as well as the waterproofing and fireproofing of the new wall.
